NDIS Information

The Knights of the Shed Service offers a comprehensive range of supports designed to empower individuals with disability to live more independently and participate fully in their communities. These supports include:

  • Developing daily care and life skills: Through training and development activities, participants learn essential skills to increase their independence in daily life, such as engaging in social activities and improving relationship and social skills.
  • Facilitating participation in community, social and civic activities: The program provides support for participants to engage in a variety of community activities, helping them develop the skills and confidence to participate fully and apply their skills to new contexts and environemnts.
  • Offering specialist positive behaviour support: Qualified professionals provide comprehensive support to manage and reduce behaviors of concern, including assessment, plan development, staff training, and support for families.
  • Delivering therapeutic supports: Evidence-based therapies are provided to improve or maintain functional capacity in areas such as communication, personal care, and interpersonal interactions. This includes assessments by health professionals to ensure appropriate support planning and review.

Registration

Following a recent audit (June 2024) Knights of the Shed has been recommended as an NDIS registered provider.  We are awaiting final approval from the NDIA.  Watch this space for updates!

Highly specialised intensive support interventions to address significantly harmful or persistent behaviours of concern.
